  Hubby's been sent an invite to see the elders at the hall - my fault!

  i posted the other day about being called on when i'm d'ad and that the elder refused to leave when i asked as i am not the head of the house!

  so i wrote a letter saying what had happened and not to call again or i'd seek further action, i also got hubby (as head of the house lol) to sign it and sent a copy to the main branch as well.. we got a very polite reply this week saying that of course they'd 'respect' my wishes but wish to ascertain if hubby still wants to be a jw and have sent him an 'invitation' to join them one night next week!otherwise he can send in a d'a letter if he wishes!.

  so far he's done nothing about it though i have talked him out of going, but if he doesn't send the letter or turn up will they automatically take that as him d'aing himself?just wondering if any ex elders here know as i think i ought to warn him in advance.

  after i have mentally fallen away from the wbts, i no longer feel that waiting for some sky god to do something is an appropriate response to dissatisfaction.

  but since i am still in the organization in body, i can't really do anything openly.

  i was in the library yesterday and i was tempted to register to vote but i am not sure if it can be done in a way that my wife could never find out.

  If you can GUARANTEE that you get the mail first each day, then you could do it.
  
  Of course, if you are in a municipality that uses registered voters as a jury candidate pool, and they pick you (small chance, but, hey, just playing Devil's Advocate), then you could be outed.

  Installed, 10 seconds, uninstalled!!!
  
  I did find a bug in the installation. I might have reported it if they made it a little easier for me to do so.
  
  I guess I might be harsh, because I am an ex-software engineer, but the look and feel was all wrong. The speed was there, though. I won't bother checking on it for a while, though, because I can't deal with that user interface as it stands.

  here's a topic i just haven't seen to my recall.. how nutty did you go with having little possessions and intentionally choosing lesser pay for more "spirituality" as a witness?.

  my situation is somewhat comical by today's standards.

  at bethel in the mid 70s i got $14 a month to spend.
